JK Rubicon Level 3 Build Package

37s, Axles, Regearing, Truss, Steering, Suspension + Fenders REQUIRED

Compatible Vehicles: 20017- 2018 JK Wrangler (all trims)

Evolution Manufacturing 3.5" Enforcer Level 3, No Draglink Flip, Kings w/ adjusters

The EVO MFG Enforcer line of suspensions are out go to for the Jeep owner who wants to hit the trails hard while still maintaining the Wrangler's factory suspension configuration. Evo's plus ride springs do a great job of holding up to abuse over time and still maintain a great ride quality on the road. We do find that this kit provides a more firm, "truck-like" ride over some of the other options, but it is far from unpleasant.

The EVO MFG control arms are made from 2.00” x .281” wall DOM tubing and feature complete on-car adjustability without removing mounting bolts. This adjustability allows caster adjustments to be made entirely while installed on the vehicle to dial in your handling and caster alignment easily. There is no need to remove the control arm to make adjustments. Currie Johnny Joints are used on both ends of each arm, and they are rebuildable, greaseable, and isolated construction for decreased transmission of road vibrations.

We find that in order to get your value out of this suspension, it needs to be outfitted with all 16 adjustable control arms to unlock its full off road potential, and should be paired with Evo's tuned King 2.5 shocks, which is why we only over it in this configuration in any packages.

Rock Jock Correctly Steering System, JK Track Bar

RockJock's completely bolt-on Currectlync Steering System features an alloy steel 42mm (1.65 in.) diameter tie rod, a solid forged steel, organically shaped, high articulation drag link, larger forged, greaseable rod ends, premium jam nuts, and adjusters and it's painted black, so it's ready for install right out of the box!
The new drag link’s organic shape ensures maximum up travel where your steering components are concerned. With this piece installed, you should also consider our RJ-9120FJKF organically shaped forged Trac Bar and our RJ-107101-101 adjustable front bump stop kit so that you can fine-tune your vehicle to achieve maximum up travel out of your build truly.

JK Alpha HD Adjustable Spare Tire Carrier & Adjustable Spare Mount Kit 5x5

To fit a 35 inch spare tire on a JK Wrangler, a spare tire carrier upgrade is required for strength and accommodation of a spare tire larger than 33 inches. Trail Jeeps recommends sticking with gate mount carriers for simplicity, one handed opening and rattle free performance on the street and trails.

The Teraflex HD Alpha Carrier and Spare Tire Mount is our go-to spare tire carrier solution, featuring a beefy hinge assembly, adjustability for carrying up to a 40 inch spare, along with back up camera and license plate support all in an easy to operate package with great fit an finish.

Steer Smarts Yeti XD JK Rear Adjustable Track Bar-Red

For the Level 3 build package, we include what we consider to be the ultimate adjustable track bar for the JK Wrangler - The Steer Smarts YETI XD track bar.

This massive track bar has forged ends that can withstand the impacts associated with off-road use. They're designed with clearances in mind to eliminate interference from high-performance adjustable suspensions. They're double adjustable, so you don't have to remove them to adjust the axle, and they utilize rubber bushings for increased ride comfort.

Nitto Trail Grapplers M/T (37x12.50R17 LT) x5

The Nitto Trail Grappler is our favorite tire here at Trail Jeeps. Despite it being a true mud terrain, this tire is actually great on the road, and with proper rotation, we regularly see them last more than 30,000 miles even with hard core off road abuse.

The tread block s are designed to be aggressive - and yet quiet - off-road tire, making this the quietest aggressive mud terrain we have driven. There are a lot of excellent mud terrain tires out there, many with great street manners, but most get loud as they wear compared to the Trail Grappler. Off-road, performance is obviously the Trail Grappler's strongest attribute, with an unparalleled ability to find traction in dirt and rocks, clear the treads in even the goopiest mud, and its tread compound sticks to slick rock-like a lizard while also providing great streetwear characteristics.

The Trail Grappler's 3-ply construction is also as close to indestructible as you can get with a steerable off road tire. Everyone at Trail Jeeps has owned this tire, and we can attest to their durability, having put them through some of the craziest off road situations you can image.

The one downfall of the Trail Grappler, which the daily driver should consider, is that they are not great in hard packed snow and icy conditions. They carve up deep snow like mud, but their lack of siping and large surface area contact cause them to struggle in hard packed snow and ice. They are also decent in wet conditions, but the driver should just be aware that they are a mud terrain while braking and cornering during adverse weather conditions.

Method Race Wheels 701 Bead Grip Matte Black plus lug kit, SPLINE, 1/2-20

Quickly after its release, the Method Bead Grip became our favorite, do-everything wheel choice for Jeep builds. Method's Bead Grip technology allows deflation of tires down to pressures that previously would have required beadlock wheels to ensure tires didn’t debead.

We have found the Bead Grip to be lightweight, easy to balance, and tremendously capable in off-road situations, replacing the need for complicated and expensive bead lock wheels for most off-road enthusiasts. They are serviceable at any conventional tire shop with a strong enough tire machine, and don't leak down and require maintenance like a beadlock.

We are comfortable airing a Bead Grip down to 10psi on the trails, which is low enough to tackle pretty much anything, but if you regularly get into hard-core off-roading, you can upgrade to a bead lock wheel.

The one major downside to a Method Bead Grip is its lack of a removable/replaceable ring. This wheel is very capable off-road, but it takes damage along the bead in heavy rock, leading to sharp edges and permanent scoring.

FOX Factory Race Series 2.0 ATS Stabilizer

Controversial as it may be, the steering stabilizer's job is to absorb shock loads from the tires and keep those movements from making their way into the steering box and steering wheel. They aren't there to stop death wobble; most stabilizer options only numb the steering feel. High-quality one-way stabilizers can also cause steering pull. While they provide better dampening, they are insufficient to justify upgrading away from the factory steering stabilizer.

Enter the Fox ATS Steering Stabilizer, which is, in our opinion, the only way to go if you are looking to improve dampening for your large tires while not negatively affecting drivability.

The ATS's through rod design doesn’t cause the Jeep to pull to one side, while the two-way nitrogen cylinder significantly improves protecting the component's shock loading. The Fox ATS Steering Stabilizer features 24 clicks of adjustment, so you can decide how much input it has on your steering feel; a remote reservoir provides the fluid needed to prevent it from fading off-road.

Adam's Driveshaft OEM Flange Style JK Front 1350 CV Driveshaft [Extreme Duty Series] Solid U-Joint

The front "Rzeppa" driveshafts are surprisingly strong and able to withstand abuse, but they are vulnerable to trail damage; one rock strike can easily compromise their shape, which is where they get their strength. The Rzeppa joint is also not considered field serviceable, and their service life on a lifted vehicle is somewhere between 40,000 and 70,000 miles.

We take any driveshaft concerns associated with a heavily modified Jeep and throw them out the window by replacing the front and rear with burly Adams 1350 driveshafts. A 1350 is considered the standard "unbreakable" driveshaft, providing plenty of strength for whatever you can throw at it. 1350 U-Joints are also readily available at any parts store and are field serviceable, so if you experience failure on the trail, you can drop the driveshaft, install a new U-joint with common hand tools, and be back on the trail quickly.

Adams Jeep JK 1350 driveshafts are the strongest driveshafts on the aftermarket. They use only the best driveshaft components made by American companies Spicer and Neapco and are proudly made in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Revolution Gear's precisely controlled manufacturing processes create a flawless setup, smooth operation and longer gear life. With products that have been Street, Off Road and Race proven, you can count on Revolution Gear and Axle products to be the most trusted in the aftermarket.

Key Benefits:

Enhanced Capability and Performance: The optimized gear ratio improves wheel torque delivery, allowing for better traction and control. Towing performance is improved when you install the correct gear ratio for your vehicle setup by providing increased torque at lower speeds, making it easier to pull heavy loads without straining the engine. This means smoother, more efficient towing, whether you're hauling a trailer or carrying gear for your next adventure.

Increased Fuel Efficiency at Highway Speeds: Contrary to what one might expect, the correct gear ratio can contribute to better fuel efficiency. By optimizing the engine's RPM at highway speeds, the ring and pinion gear set helps maintain a more efficient fuel consumption rate, saving you money and extending your journeys.

Superior Strength and Durability: Revolution Gear and Axle is renowned for its commitment to quality. Our ring and pinion gear sets are made from high-grade steel using precision gear cutting and heat treatment processes that meet or exceed Original Equipment standards. This results in a product that performs exceptionally and withstands the rigors of both daily driving and extreme off-road conditions.

Easy Installation and Quiet Operation: With over 40 years of manufacturing experience, Revolution Gear and Axle ring and pinions are preferred by installers for smooth and consistent setup. Our gear sets offer quiet operation, ensuring a comfortable ride without the annoying gear whines often associated with aftermarket gear sets.

Upgrading the Ring and Pinion set by Revolution Gear and Axle is more than just a modification; it's an investment in your vehicle's performance, efficiency, and enjoyment.

RCV JK Ultimate Dana 44 CV Axle Set for Jeep JK Rubicon

Like many aspects of the Rubicon M210, the axle shafts were improved. Whether they are the conventional U-Joint style axles or the newer CV style axles found in "Auto Hi" all-wheel drive capable Jeeps, they've proven to hold up pretty well with up to a 37-inch tire when driven off the road gently. But, they still break.

RCV Performance Ultimate CV axles are a fantastic upgrade to any vehicle that goes off-road. The RCV Performance Ultimate CV Axles for Jeep JL Rubicon Dana 44 provide unmatched strength and smoothness you can feel.  The RCVs simply replace your OEM Jeep JK axle shafts with a high-strength constant velocity design. They eliminate oscillation and "crow hop" caused by the uneven power delivery of a u-joint axle.  The RCV CVs provide 6 points of fully engaged contact throughout any angle up to 45 degrees, providing 100% strength even when the steering is turned to lock.

Along with the CV shaft and the axle itself, the FAD section of the axle is also beefed up, with a new hardened engagement collar that binds the hardened chromoly axle shafts together. We have seen zero FAD failures with RCVs, and breaking the CV is challenging. These axles do require semi-regular greasing, and we recommend greasing after off-road excursions, wet weather, and water crossings. If breakage does occur, RCV does include a lifetime no-questions-asked warranty with their axles. If you break it doing something fun, they replace it! RCVs are fully rebuildable and serviceable, and with proper maintenance, they can be considered a lifetime upgrade.

Revolution Discovery Series 4340 Chromoly, 32 spline rear axle kit (Fits Factory locker only)

This rear axle is an excellent upgrade for a Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon.  It is manufactured with 4340 Chromo steel, which offers 40% more durability and strength than the OE driveshaft from Jeep. This strength and durability would allow the Jeep to handle all terrains easily and whatever the trail throws at the vehicle. Even the black oxide coating on the steel further enhances the rear axle's strength and durability and prevents corrosion.  The axle shafts have a double-drilled pattern for 5x5 and 5x5.5, so various wheels can be chosen.

Artec JK Apex Front Axle Ultimate Armor Kit

This upgrade is designed to reinforce the weakest parts and ensure maximum durability for your factory JK front axle.  The JK APEX Front Axle Truss features a unique, peaked-shaped top for extra rigidity, weight savings, and simplified installation. This design extends underneath the coil perches, forming a complete end-to-end truss—an industry first in OEM axle applications. JK Front LCA Skids provide serious abuse protection for your JL front axle lower control arm brackets. These 1/4" thick, precision-cut components ensure easy installation and enhanced durability. JK Inner C Gussets reinforce your front Dana 30 or 44 JK Inner C's, adding rigidity with 1/4" thick, precision-cut components. JK APEX Trackbar Brackets address the weak factory axle side tracbar bracket, a common cause of "death wobble." Designed for compatibility with the APEX Truss, these heavy-duty brackets eliminate issues and raise your steering stabilizer for greater clearance.

Dynatrac HD Balljoints for 2007-2018 Jeep JK - Knurled

Balljoints have been a major shortcoming of the JK and JL/JT Wrangler. We rarely see factory balljoints last more than 30,000 miles, with larger-than-stock tires and even moderate off-road use, which is why we replace factory balljoints with Dynatrac Heavy-Duty Balljoints!

These will be the last balljoints your Jeep will ever need. We adopted these balljoints as our go-to one size fixes as soon as we tried them on our own Jeeps just after they were released, transforming one of the Wrangler's weak links into one of it's best attributes. Dynatrac ball joints are the strongest, most durable, and highest quality, featuring heat-treated high-strength billet bodies with chromoly stems.

Dynatrac Rebuildable HD Balljoints for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK solve wear and excessive movement issues that can lead to increased tire wear, loose steering feel, and decreased stability. With larger tires, factory ball joints can develop excessive play and movement in as little as 20,000 miles.

The heat-treated, precision-ground stainless steel ball meets military specifications. Unique seals prevent contamination, and the ball joints have greasable fittings and Teflon-coated wear points to provide a long, durable life. OE style balljoints require them to be pressed in and out of the axle's knuckle C's for replacement, making them a problematic trail fix. Dynatrac balljoints are rebuildable on the vehicle with common hand tools.

These are some of our very favorite mods, and throughout the years of using them, we've only seen a handful of failures, all of which have been able to be rebuilt on the vehicle, never coming loose from the C's or requiring a full replacement.

PSC Adventure Steering Kit for the Jeep Wrangler JK 3.6L

FEATURES:
Eliminates excessive on-center steering wheel "play"
Eliminates pump overheating
Increased Torque Output turns 35" and larger tire sizes
Improved turning capability when locking differentials are engaged

When you install big tires, it is harder for your Jeep's steering pump and steering box to move those tires.

This is the most economical way to increase the strength of your steering, it's biggest benefit is that it is simple, the hardware is cheap and it retains the expensive factory pump and steering box, which has proven itself to be very durable. It has an excellent steering feel, and many customers find it to be enough of a boost to comfortably run a 37 or 38-inch tire at low pressures off-road.

We wanted to allow customers to upgrade their steering further by including this excellent, cost-effective upgrade as part of this package. Upgrades are available from PSC, and all of them are good, but are an added expense.  You can learn more about these upgrades in our Steering Section.
